Interpretação consecutiva
O intérprete espera uma pausa do orador e somente então interpreta a fala para a língua-alvo. Esta modalidade tem a tendência de duplicar o tempo do evento ou reunião.
A interpretação consecutiva também pode ser presencial ou online. É uma modalidade corriqueira em ambientes jurídicos comuns no mercado americano, como depositions, examinations under oath (ambos tipos de testemunhos jurados), dentre outros.
